David was born in Philadelphia and went to high school in Newport, RI., college at Stanford University and graduate school at Auburn where he earned a Masters in History. After a 7-year stint at Columbus Bank & Trust and Synovus Financial Corp in Columbus, GA., the family moved to St. Simons.

He has lived on St. Simons for since 1998, raising two (now grown) children with wife Dana and teaching high school history and economics at Frederica Academy. As a child, he vacationed here with his parents and worked just after college in the hospitality business at Emmeline & Hessie’s, a famous landmark on the Island in the 1980s. He joined his wife in the real estate business in 2016. “I know the Island and its residents well and love it here!”
